The hall was filled with the sound of carols as the school choir performed their Christmas Carol Concert to the whole of Year 7 and Year 8 on a Tuesday morning. The concert featured a combination of traditional carols, readings from the Bible, the poem ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’ as well as other 'Christmassy' works and beautifully sung carols by everyone in the hall - the festive spirit in the air could easily be felt!

It all started with an introduction by first, the Headteacher, followed by Mr Graham, after which we had a wonderful rendition of Once in Royal David’s City. More carols followed, then some readings and a performance of Gaudete by the choir. A few carols later, Mr Graham led us in prayers to end the service. It was then time to leave and free up the Hall for both lunch and for the Year 9 and Year 10 service later in the afternoon.

It really was a brilliant concert. Thanks to Mr Tansley for directing the choir and to the choir themselves for their efforts. Happy New Year!
