Three Rock Club bands dazzled at Seer Green's Beer & Music Festival on Friday 13th September, and several other DCGS students also gave amazing performances at the event.

The first night of the festival saw some superb young local talent take to the stage in the big top. This included many DCGS musicians as well as Year 12 student, Roman, who was a fantastic MC. Kicking off the night was talented Year 9 keyboard-based band 'CRAW', who were followed by 'Xscape' (Year 8), the youngest band to take to the stage at the event. Later in the evening, House on Fire (Year 10) performed a superb set of indie rock classics which packed out the big top and got everyone dancing. Additionally, Year 12 students, Wolf and Richard, performed a couple of rock classics in a newly formed band, 'Three Random Guys', whilst Year 13 student, Josh, delivered a phenomenal set with 'The Curable', who headlined the Friday night and sent the tent absolutely wild with their set of rock and indie anthems.

The festival, which runs over two days, is an annual fundraiser for the Seer Green Scout Group, with funds being used to purchase equipment, improve facilities and maintain the scout hut. It is wonderful that so many of our students contributed to the success of the event, which raised a massive £17,000. A very big well done to all those who took part!
